Who is over the hump Radio?

Over The Hump Radio is a grassroots project founded by Cleveland-based DJ Le Schlippy and their partner, Beel Beep. What began as a weekly Wednesday-night terrestrial radio show on WCSB Cleveland 89.3 FM has evolved into an underground hub that connects the dance community in Cleveland and beyond. After WCSB’s takeover by Ideastream Public Media, Over The Hump Radio moved to online streaming via Mixcloud, allowing the project to continue its legacy and expand its reach. Over The Hump will continue streaming weekly on Wednesday nights starting at 9PM EST.

At its core, Over The Hump is dedicated to the Cleveland dance community: the music, the artists, the DJs, the venues, and the people who make magic in this city, and beyond.

Over The Hump strives to make the dance community more accessible in Cleveland, while uplifting the artists, music, and events. We do this by sharing dance events happening around town, hosting guest DJs, ticket giveaway’s, sharing dance-related news, and more!

We believe dancing is one of the most powerful forces humanity has. We’ve experienced firsthand the healing energy of the Dancefloor, how it breaks down barriers, creates a safe space for self-expression, and restores the soul to the source. The Dancefloor has become central to our lives, fueling our passions, pushing us forward, and continually growing our family. That passion and love is what fuels Over The Hump Radio.
